Photo Reference – Choose a photo that you would like to paint.
Paint – Bring all that you have. We will mix colors from the 3 primary colours of red, yellow and, blue. I use naptha red, primary yellow and ultramarine blue. These are heavy body student colors which come in big jars. If you have tubes that’s great. You will also need white and black.
Medium – A bottle of acrylic matte medium.
Brushes – Acrylic brushes can be nylon, hogs hair or synthetic, acrylic and oil brushes have longer handles than watercolor brushes. Bring what you have . The following brushes are useful:
#4 fan brush
¾ inch flat
Canvas – Choose the size you want for your finished landscape
Canvas paper – at least 10 sheets – this is very important
Pencil – mechanical or HB regular pencil
Palette – You can use plastic plates, or an enamel tray lined with wet paper towels or a stay wet palette.
Other useful things
Paper Towels, rags, paint shirt, sea sponge, cut up credit card, masking tape, board to use under canvas paper.
