The CBBCA is delighted to announce the next layer of services to be made available at the Constance Bay Community Centre. The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) will be providing its services for older adults and adults with disabilities in our community centre. These services will initially include:

> Low cost transportation for people with major requirements – trips up to 30km are $10 per person (eg. return trip to Kanata), trips over 30km are $18.   This service can also be used for shopping trips, to attend special events, and other group activities.

> Meals on Wheels

> Intake and referral to appropriate community resources/agencies, e.g. Community Care Access Centre, special programs.

>  Adult Day Programs for people with dementia, and for caregivers

>  Training of volunteers to help deliver these and other services

> Flu Clinics; (seasonally as scheduled)

The services of the WOCRC will be delivered in the centre’s new Studio room, off the main floor lobby.

Enabling key services was a fundamental component of the Project Sandhills vision; “Creating New Opportunities”.  Adding the services of the WOCRC to the Foot Therapy and Massage Therapy services that are already available brings the Studio almost halfway to its ultimate purpose as a full service hub for medical, health, and social services.
